VM COMPETICION, UNDER THE PORTUGUESE FLOOD
On Friday the race began with the well-known prologue of about 5 kilometers plus a second section of 75 time trial. On Saturday, two sections totaling 350 kilometers were covered under incessant rain that flooded the sections, already badly damaged by the passage of all the competitors.
Miguel Valero and Jaqueline Ricci came out on board the VM Competicion T4 with great force in the prologue, in which they finished without problems and in the position expected. However, in the first section, mechanical failures began, causing them to lose many positions that they had to recover later in the race. On Sunday, mechanical problems arose again in the middle of the stage that also delayed them and that, together with the deluge that fell in the middle of the race, did not allow them to barely recover places and they finished very much behind; but at least they reached the finish.
The team ended up very happy, because this year that the vehicle has been released, there have been 5 races finished out of the 5 in which they have participated in the World Cup.
